We do live in an era of extreme competition. In business competition is almost everywhere. Several concepts are behind this kind of pattern attitude – to compete. We may accept them and mold ourselves to live within this world in basically two possible ways. One is acting as a “shark” with a killer and competitive instinct. The other way is acting as a “dolphin”, sharing the same ocean as the sharks, co-existing with them but with a completely different perspective.

Crystalline vision

Wisdom gives real safety for choice and vision, as well as acceptance or refusal. It gives us the ability of observing and learning, of being flexible and understanding, of seeing and understanding. A firmly held belief can be deceiving and make us blind. To see the obvious, to consider an opinion as final, “carrying a firm belief” can mean to stop looking beyond the obvious and also losing the ability of seeing from other perspectives.

Maturity and Free Will

Maturity comes when a choice is made; when a path is chosen. Here is a subtle and powerful secret: maturity is born when we start to listen to our intuition. It is then that gestation starts.
