A firmly held belief is dangerous.
Wisdom gives real safety for choice and vision, as well as acceptance or refusal.
It gives us the ability of observing and learning, of being flexible and understanding, of seeing and understanding.
A firmly held belief can be deceiving and make us blind.
To see the obvious, to consider an opinion as final, “carrying a firm belief” can mean to stop looking beyond the obvious and also losing the ability of seeing from other perspectives.
Logic, as well as faith, can be useful, but as an instrument it can be misused.
A firmly held belief can originate from logic and take support from faith, or emerge from faith and take support in logic, but the fact is that it can make us “lie”, it can change perceptions, it can change directions, and deceive us.
A firmly held belief can create the impression of safety, and because of that betray values that transcend this feeling.
Lie can and has installed itself in the core of humanity and, like drops of poison, imperceptible due to the logic of standardized thinking and acting, can drain the energy of values such as love, respect and inner peace.
Crystalline vision can emerge amidst cloudy situations or where there’s no absolute clarity, while blindness can exist even when everything is too clear.
In any case, the revision of “firmly held beliefs” will bring growth and knowledge.
When humanity becomes conscious, it will understand the essence that pulses behind the visible surface of our lives and will understand that the firmly held belief was a walking stick from which it took support, albeit without need.
