Mental Activities

What have I been doing so far, to feed my mind?
What activities have I practiced to strengthen my mind and intellect?
Have I tried some unusual ways to experiment with?
Well, there are quite some available nowadays:
Yoga - there are several branches. Raja-Yoga is one of them. A kind of yoga which works more with meditation, knowledge and practices to work with the intellect and mind. Hatha Yoga is more linked to physical postures and exercises.

Tai chi - it’s a very interesting eastern practice. It works with subtle moves of the body inspired by animal postures.

Meditation - there are several possibilities, but most work at a relaxation level. It provides great relief and recovery for western people.

More common activities, which you may be doing already:
Reading
Reading books of poetry, novels, philosophy make the intellect work and think. It helps the mind to keep steady in one subject.

Music
Have you really listened to music lately or you just heard it?
Which type of music helps you uplift your mood?
Have you tried to listen to different music from those you are used to listening?
For instance, if you like world music, have you tried to listen to jazz?
Or, if you are a blues-person have you tried native songs, such as Celtic or Indian?

Physical activities
What have I done lately at a physical level?
Which activities do you enjoy most? Jogging, reading, swimming or dancing?

How do you perform these activities, if you do?
Do you really make use of that period of time to enjoy whatever you are doing?
Or you do it just as any other business activity, like an obligation?
Do you really know what you like doing the best?
Think about that.

Is there any other physical activity you could try?
Would you like to try it?
When you do any of them do you stretch your muscles properly?

TV
What to watch?
Do you really think about it or just switch your TV and watch what you are used to daily?
Is there any other kind of programming that could make you feel better? Why not trying it?
For instance, if you are a movie-person, why not trying the discovery channel? If you are a cult- kind of person why not watching a movie just for fun, without thinking too much?
